Born and raised in San Diego, I made the life-changing decision to head east for college and immerse myself in the hustle and bustle of New York City. As part of this adventure, I spent almost a decade gaining invaluable experience as an event planner, coordinator, manager and program director (I've done it all!) in the public relations, hospitality and non-profit industries of Manhattan and Washington, D.C. Through Laurel Street Events, I am excited to bring this knowledge, experience and passion back to California to create unique and memorable events with you.

From our initial brainstorming session, where we will work together to paint the broad strokes of your event vision, to that important day when you see that vision come to life, I promise to always bring to you a calm and infectious energy, a determined and resilient drive and a tireless dedication as we work together to make your most important events special occasions.

Born and raised in Southern California, Azu’s bicultural upbringing was full of festive celebrations, vibrant colors, and memories of laughter. Her love of celebrations led her to assist in the production of numerous events during her undergraduate studies. She assisted in events ranging from cultural celebrations to international literature conferences. Azu’s curious and tenacious nature led her to Madrid, Spain where she immersed herself in Spanish culture, design and lifestyle. She attended events such as Madrid Fashion week, adidas shoe release parties, and LOEWE’s relaunching event. She captured the beauty and essence of every event and country she traveled to. Every celebration brings its own unique joy and Azu makes sure that your special day truly showcases the essence of your union.

NICOLETTE TARRANT

EVENT COORDINATOR + STYLIST

NICOLETTE WAS born and raised in San Francisco. SHE spent hours cooking with HER family AND setting the table in honor of any and every holiday or event we could think of. HER mom would bring out the glitter, paper and glue and NICOLETTE WOULD make crowns to place around the table.  Crowns for birthdays, for holidays, or maybe just because it was a Friday.

SHE developed a love of being creative as a result. It was also through NICOLETTE’S family that SHE was introduced to the design world. HER family owned a design company and Their style was sophisticated, elegant and modern. After graduating from UCSB, SHE moved to Thailand to work and travel and added beachy and bohemian to that personal style. 

TO NICOLETTE, Event planning is not just about creativity, it’s also about many details. Planning an event is a wonderful way to express HER creativity and HER great attention to detail. NICOLETTE’S goal is to understand the inspiration AND vision OF each client AND create a memorable event that will showcase their unique style.

NATALY CARDENAS

EVENT COORDINATOR ASSISTANT

Nataly is a rising senior at the University of San Diego graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies and a minor in Business Administration.  Throughout her time in San Diego she has had the privilege of interning at The New Children’s Museum, Fox Sports San Diego, and The Miracle League of San Diego (which brought her to Jennifer!) Each of her previous jobs truly encompass her passions; art, sports, and most importantly, helping other people. Ever since making the move from her hometown in the suburbs of Chicago to San Diego, Nataly has constantly been on the move. She has traveled to over 18 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia, and most recently South America. Nataly strives to bring the valuable lessons she has learned abroad in her daily life. She is self motivated, caring, and ambitious, and is determined to bring all of her past experiences to Laurel Street Events!
