As you may imagine, it's part of the LSE rule book to throw special people in your life really fun and memorable parties. So when I heard that one of my childhood girlfriends was getting married, LSE sprang into action. It only made sense that I brought a "Tulum" vibe to an industrial warehouse since it was an intimate dinner party for a really fun friend who was getting married in Mexico. Overall, I wanted the evening to be joyful, colorful, chic and of course, stylish.
I started with a blank canvas of the space at Sandbox Venue and worked from there. This time, my design began with the "Cyndi" linen that I chose from La Tavola Fine Linen. It was bright, neon pink with hints of beige running diagonally. The linen was drop dead gorgeous and perfect for this event. Next, I knew that I wanted to hang a fun piece from the ceiling. A wide array of ideas ran through my mind. Ultimately, I chose palm fronds of varying sizes that I spray painted copper and gold. I thought the design of the palm fronds turned out amazing and hung so well on the natural branches above the table.
Since the gold + copper palm fronds were the focal point of the table along with the "Cyndi" linen from La Tavola Fine Linen, I chose very simple tableware for the tablescape. To add that "wow" factor, I called my friends at SociaLights and incorporated their 3ft. marquee lights to tie the whole design together. As you know, a party of any kind isn't complete without a proper hashtag or donkey piñata, which you can spot in some of the photos. What do you think of it all? Did you spot the donkey?! Throwing this dinner party was so much fun!
